In 2014, I created a new Cabaret Show –
AN EVENING WITH JENNIFER ROBERTS, with Tedd Firth as Musical Director and Andy Gale, as Director.
As we developed the show, we knew we were creating something special. After seeing the live show, more and more people suggested we record it as an album.
One week after our last live show, November 2016, we headed to the studio – Sean Swinney Recording on West 54th, and so began the journey of love, sacrifice and determination. Wanting it to be of the highest quality, and funding the entire project myself, it took a full two years to complete. We have been overwhelmed by the positive response, support and continued global airplay. Thank-you All!
Available on Pandora, Amazon, Apple Music, Spotify and more.
“Hearing this CD for the first time, one might feel a strong sense of regret that the discovery of Jennifer Roberts hadn't happened sooner, so deep is the dive into places most easily likened to a musical Great Barrier Reef. Jennifer Roberts is special, and that's putting it in simplest, most relatable verbiage.”
- Stephen Mosher - Broadway World
"...what a great singer she is...I've featured a couple of things from this previously, and I wanted to share one other track from the album,
An Evening with Jennifer Roberts. You'll be hearing more from her on the Vocal Sound of Jazz program as her new Album comes out."
- Jack Frieden -
Creator/Show Host - Vocal Sound of Jazz - WHRO
“There are quite a few ballads on the CD, a genre she can clearly sink her teeth into with prime storytelling ability.”
- Marilyn Lester -
Popular Song and Jazz Writer/Reviewer
“It does not take long into listening to the opening medley of “Travel/The Glamorous Life/ The Little Gray House” to realize that Roberts has a special presence that makes you look forward to hearing the entire program. Her voice welcomes you immediately, the songs are well chosen, and having Firth’s piano and the bass of Steve Doyle provides the perfect setting for her vocalizing. Her experience in musical theater enables her to give believable life to the material that she performs.”
- Joe Lang - Jersey Jazz
”With the genius of pianist and arranger Tedd Firth, Ms. Roberts has herself a 15-song gem of a CD.”
- Dan Singer - Singer's Singers - InTune International - UK
"Jennifer, I got your CD yesterday, and I've listened to it....just lovely...you actually brought me to tears. Such an all consuming sense of being was evident in your vocals. It made me long for some past life nostalgia of New York elegance.
Brava, truly."
- Sanborn McGraw - Great Nephew of Margaret Whiting
"Jennifer’s latest recordings are beautiful and engaging, and we were thrilled to showcase a couple of her renditions of the Great American Songbook for the 'Friday Feature.'”
- THE MORNING LOUNGE WITH JILL AND RICH - LEGENDS RADIO - 100.3 FM
“Jennifer is an artist whose stellar musical talents put her in that constellation of artists who honor and keep alive the Great American songbook. Her work with Tedd Firth is wonderful and reminds me of the collaborations of Doris Day and Paul Weston with his orchestra; they bring us back to an exciting time in the development of the Great American songbook tradition and remind us that this music is timeless.”
- JANICE MURPHY - SHOW HOST - THIS TIME AROUND - WOMR
"HI Jennifer, you are causing quite a sensation over here and you rightly deserve it!"
- Sandy Letham - radio host - Ladies Jazz Night - Abbey 104 - UK
“I actually listened to Jennifer Roberts for the first time on this CD. Such a Great Album!!! Jennifer's voice and vocal style are so cute, fascinating and intimate.”

”It’s to Roberts' credit that she fills the CD to capacity with her own vocals plus two instruments. Firth, who’s nothing less than a genius of the piano, applied intelligent choices with inspired creative ideas to provide the singer with superb harmonic support. His work on the keys ably captured the mood of each number parallel to Robert’s vocalizations.”

"On 'An Evening with Jennifer Roberts' and teamed with the great pianist/arranger Tedd Firth, Jennifer Roberts has created an elegant and quietly powerful album you will want to add to your musical collection. Jennifer has spent her performing career singing every type of music from Country to Broadway to Classical and has honed a style uniquely her own. Her lyric phrasing is thoughtful and compelling and her lovely voice suits her musical choices perfectly. "

"Wow! A positive side of Covid.... is that you had time to go into your vaults. All of your posts gave me and all your Facebook friends, a huge/broad view of your Artistic life. I feel the deepest respect for what you have done, and still do. The first song on AN EVENING WITH JENNIFER ROBERTS Album (TRAVEL) stole my musical heart, and it represents what your life is all about; Hard Work! Chapeau Madame!"
- RENÉ DUSSEN - RADIO HOST/PRODUCER -
THE GREAT AMERICAN SONGBOOK RADIO STATION
”Perfection and the joy of life, this is what comes out when listening to this album with syrupy jazz, which makes you want to settle in a concert hall and watch/ listen to Jennifer Roberts who seems to be having fun throughout this album. But make no mistake, it is an art in its own right and which, under the guise of ease, requires a high level of work.”
- THIERRY DOCMAC - BAYOU BLUE RADIO - PARIS MOVE
“there are always some titles that stand out, such as the title “Home”, which is a perfect example of this vocal work that only The Americans master, and a finale in beauty with the famous “People Get Ready” by Curtis Mayfield. It doesn't take more to stay in love with this great album that we will also classify as “Indispensable.”
“I have just been introduced to the voice of Jennifer Roberts and let me say, I was immediately swept in by it. Her vocals are powerful, soothing, and most of all, delightful to listen to. Jennifer can sing a variety of genres. Her album, An Evening with Jennifer Roberts, based upon the cabaret show of the same name, is what enticed me.”
- ADAM ROTHENBERG - CALL ME ADAM/CALL ANSWERED - NYC
“Jennifer’s sensitive approach to her beautifully chosen material is a delight for the listener. Firth and Roberts are a perfect match, and once you’re drawn in, you’ll be there to stay!”
- DANNY BACHER -
AWARD-WINNING SINGER/SAXOPHONIST/ENTERTAINER
”Jennifer Roberts has an engaging voice, and her musicianship is excellent.”
- Alix Cohen - Cabaret Scenes - NYC
" and together Roberts and Firth present a partnership that one hopes will last a long time, one of eloquence and sophistication, equal parts flirty, intellectual, theatrical and vulnerable. The twosome communicates with one another in a manner so trusting that there remains no barrier between their artistry and an audience who bought a ticket to the show- everyone here is a friend, with the mutual benefit of supreme musical storytelling....”
- Stephen Mosher - Broadway World
